Team Leaders & Teams

Our Corps members work in teams to provide children with individualized learning experiences and to develop nurturing relationships with caring adults. They implement our weekly curriculum together by leading small group readings and activities to help ensure kindergarten readiness. We provide our teams with the essential training, skills, and practical experience to be better prepared for the workforce, especially if they plan to pursue a career in education or related fields. Our teams consist of a Team Leader, who is usually a Jumpstart veteran of one year or more, and a passionate group of Corps Members. All teams are made up of University of Pittsburgh students who are in a variety of different programs of study, including education, medical fields, business, social work, and more.
